Our Story

Each quarter the team chooses a local non-profit organisation that is dear to them, and customers are given information about each organisation.  The response is always tremendous!

Without the influence of the women in Gayla’s life, GaylaCake would not exist.  The GaylaCake Team honors these women, and while they are no longer with us, their influences carry on in the JOY the GaylaCake Team finds in serving others. “

Gayla opened the doors to GaylaCake on August 28, 2013.

Growing up, Gayla watched her mom bake and decorate cakes.  Gayla’s grandmother was also a baker. She would take her delicious treats all around Wayne County, Illinois, for as long as she was able.  Gayla sat at the kitchen counter watching both of these women bake with joy!  You see, the baking was never for them.  It was always for others!

Today, at GaylaCake, Gayla and her team take on this same concept of making sweet treats and custom cakes for their wonderful customers.  On the other side of this is the charitable giving by the entire GaylaCake Team!  Customers wanted to leave tips for their beautifully decorated cakes and treats, and as whole, the team made the decision to start donating all tips.  Each quarter the team chooses a local non-profit organization that is dear to us, and we let our customers know information about each organization.  The response is always tremendous!

Without the influence of the women in Gayla’s life, GaylaCake would not exist.  We honor these women, and while they are no longer with us, their influences carry on in the JOY the GaylaCake Team finds in serving other.

Gayla’s Mom lost her battle with breast cancer in October 2014.  While her absence is felt every day, Linda Weaver’s laugh, wisdom, talent, and compassion for others is what Gayla most hopes to continue in her honor.
