• Change

I don’t love change. I’m generally pretty happy with the status quo. Recently, it seems Godwants me to learn how to embrace change…Earlier this year, my first hire, my friend, my sister-in-Christ, Jenni, gave me her notice. She andher husband had moved back to where Jenni grew up. She had been making the long drive, but the time came to stop. After 8 years at GaylaCake, Jenni wasn’t going to be here anymoreexcept for the occasional visit. Her vibrant personality and baking/decorating skills are missedconstantly. Change.About a month ago, my full-time baker, who also happens to be my daughter, Alli, gave me hernotice. She had accepted a job that will allow…

  • Why?

It’s 2 days before Christmas, late at night. My daughter, Alli, and I are working late to finish up Christmas Eve orders for pick-up in the morning. It’s quiet in the bakery except for my Pandora station playing some of my favorite carols from “back in the day”. I’m putting together cake rolls for some orders. • Recent Customer Reviews

We appreciate it so much when customers take the time to send us positive reviews!  We love being a part of celebrations all over the city, but sometimes we never hear anything after the cake leaves the bakery.  So, it’s always the cherry on top to hear that it was a hit at the party!  Here are a few recent customer reviews we received on Facebook.  #humblebrag Oh my gosh!!!
